Do Something Meaningful Please

When half of the population in KL are shouting on top of their voice for more parking slots, robbery, traffic jam and mat rempits, the KL City Hall (DBKL) decided to rename the century old name Jalan Alor to Jalan Kejora

We hear you - that’s the response of Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Zulhasnan Rafique to the protests voiced by residents, traders and tourists on the decision to rename the world-renowned Jalan Alor.
The Star

Jalan Alor is Kuala Lumpur's most popular spot for great food and its world renowned. Instead of doing anything meaningful, which I doubt they would, they are having a meeting in having fun changing street names into star names because that area is known as Bukit Bintang?

If the street is named Bukit Bintang, it does not mean that it is a mountain full with stars right?

Like English, pineapple, an apple with pine trees? Laptop, the top on the lap?

My friend used to tell me, you can never make someone clever by telling them. Just like DBKL, the change made half of the population in KL not happy, way to go in provoking the citizens of KL.

The stupid name.. courtesy of the star.

“It is an international landmark. We will listen to all sides - from the people to the City Hall road naming committee. Let’s be fair to all,’’

Did that question occur to you when you decided to make the change?

All the hawker centers there are named "Alor Kai Yik" "Alor Satay" and so on..

Give them the name Jalan Alor back and grid more parking lots for residents of KL, do something useful DBKL, make us proud..........................
